چکیده

Abstract Gravity mediated entanglement (GME) has been proposed as the first experimentally testable signature of quantum gravity. However, to what extent effect is due gravity under debate. In this note, we argue in several ways that observation GME does indeed tell us something new about compared previous experiments. particular, consider a reference frame treatment experiment allows pinpoint single degree freedom responsible for effect. We also discuss relevance Newtonian limit, longitudinal/transverse decomposition field, and local operations classical communication theorem. Our conclusion experiments trying detect would be interesting because (a) either positive or negative results able falsify theories (b) represent truly novel.

Nonsingular black holes and degrees of freedom in quantum gravity.

Spherically symmetric space-times provide many examples for interesting black hole solutions, which classically are all singular. Following a general program, space-like singularities in spherically symmetric quantum geometry, as well as other inhomogeneous models, are shown to be absent. Moreover, one sees how the classical reduction from infinitely many kinematical degrees of freedom to only ...

Experimental realization of entanglement in multiple degrees of freedom between two quantum memories

Entanglement in multiple degrees of freedom has many benefits over entanglement in a single one. The former enables quantum communication with higher channel capacity and more efficient quantum information processing and is compatible with diverse quantum networks. Establishing multi-degree-of-freedom entangled memories is not only vital for high-capacity quantum communication and computing, bu...

Quantum entanglement between electronic and vibrational degrees of freedom in molecules.

We consider the quantum entanglement of the electronic and vibrational degrees of freedom in molecules with tendencies towards double welled potentials. In these bipartite systems, the von Neumann entropy of the reduced density matrix is used to quantify the electron-vibration entanglement for the lowest two vibronic wavefunctions obtained from a model Hamiltonian based on coupled harmonic diab...

Quark degrees of freedom in hadronic systems

Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) is the theory of the strong interactions. We review descriptions of hadronic systems motivated by QCD, analyzing the recent controversy between gluonic and bosonic degrees of freedom under the prism of the Cheshire Cat Principle. Our analysis leads to an optimal scheme to study hadronic properties. We proceed to extend this low energy descriptions to the deep inelas...

Estimating degrees of freedom in motor systems

Studies of the degrees of freedom or “synergies” in musculoskeletal systems rely critically on algorithms to estimate the “dimension” of kinematic or neural data. Linear algorithms such as principal component analysis (PCA) are used almost exclusively for this purpose. However, biological systems tend to possess nonlinearities and operate at multiple spatial and temporal scales so that the set ...
